Although developmental dyslexia (DD) is unfamiliar in Japan, it is a common neurodevelopmental disorder, especially among English native speakers. Tons of studies about DD in these two decades have showed it is a matter of brain functions. Recently, there have been some papers on neuropsychological aspects of DD in this congress, but there was no comprehensive lecture about DD pathogenesis so far. Today, we have Prof. Albert Galaburda who first reported the pathological finding of DD brain as the lecturer. We hope this lecture will provide useful information to all the audiences.
