[ALPSp2-04] Ultrafast optical nonlinearity in Hydrazone
We have measured the femtosecond third-order nonlinear optical response χ(3) in a novel class of π-conjugated dicarbohydrazone using z-scan and optical limiting techniques. In off-resonance conditions at 800 nm we found three photon absorption coefficients and nonlinear refraction coefficients values which are significant. This material is an excellent candidate for nonlinear optical devices in the lower optical frequency range.
