[ALPSp2-26] Laser-mediated nanoparticle delivery to achieve cutaneous siRNA targeting for mitigating psoriasiform inflammation
Herein, we developed a delivery system for siRNA based on poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) nanoparticles and combined this system with ablative laser to promote skin permeation. The siRNA absorption enhancement was compared by two laser modalities: fractional CO2 laser and fully-ablative Er:YAG laser. Topical application of fractional laser-assisted nanoparticle delivery on mice resulted in 56% of IL-6 knockdown.
