[OMC11-02] Manipulation of Vibrational States of CO2 with Mid-Infrared Pulses
We demonstrate vibrational ladder climbing of carbon dioxide by using intense mid-infrared pulses. The transient absorption spectroscopy confirms excitation up to the v = 9 state in a liquid phase. This result makes an important step toward controlling carbon dioxide conversions.
