[S10] Development of vaccines against infectious diseases

Sat. Mar 27, 2021 3:45 PM - 5:45 PM [Room C] Oral Presentation C (Online)

Organizer: Yoshioka Yasuo (OTRI, Osaka Univ.), Kunisawa Jun (NIBIOHN)

Vaccination is one of the most critical and reliable strategies to prevent severe illness and control the spread of infectious diseases at the population level. Several types of vaccines, such as attenuated live vaccines, inactivated whole vaccines, and protein-based subunit vaccines, will need to be developed when emerging infectious diseases arise. In addition, a rational choice of adjuvants is required for improving the potency of the protective immune response to vaccines. In this symposium, we will discuss about the development of novel vaccine against infectious diseases including COVID-19.
