[YSA-2(2P-37)] アブラナ科植物の自家不和合性の花粉拒絶反応を制御するタンパク質SRK/SP11複合体の包括的相互作用解析

Self-incompatibility (SI) is one of the most important systems to prevent self-fertilization and thereby promote genetic diversity within a species. The self/nonself-discrimination of SI is controlled by a single polymorphic locus, called S-locus, and S-locus receptor kinase (SRK) in pistil and S-locus protein 11 (SP11) in pollen are responsible for SI in Brassica flowers. If both proteins are derived from the same S-locus, the pollen will be rejected to prevent self-pollination. Although two S-haplotypes of their complex crystal structures have been determined in recent years, a comprehensive analysis of their interactions is still challenging because of the sequential and structural diversity of SP11 molecule and the presence of over 100 S-haplotypes. Here we present a computational modeling method of highly reliable SP11 and SRK/SP11 complex structures and comprehensive interaction analysis between SRK and SP11 molecules using MD simulations. Our method will also contribute to future analysis to identify unknown pairs of SRK-like receptors and SP11-like ligands even in other flowers than Brassica.
