The Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Science (RIIS) was established in April 2016 at Okayama University. The RIIS has three divisions, focusing on the quantum universe, photosynthesis and structural biology, and superconducting and functional materials, currently with a total of about 50 world-class researchers and 30 PhD students with diverse academic background taking an English-language doctoral program named as “The Interdisciplinary Science Course”. With these members, RIIS is pleased to welcome all SCES participants and interest, and hopes to build a network of fruitful future collaboration internationally.
