[GP-P-03] Detecting the depth range of subsided zone in asphalt pavement caused by traffic load using ground-penetrating radar
We applied ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to detect the effect of traffic load in asphalt pavement. A heavy vehicle repeatedly run on our test road and the wheel load caused two ruts on the surface of asphalt pavement. We acquired GPR records of 800 MHz both before and after loading and analyze the differences of travel time of reflection signals from the top surface of base course and roadbed. In this report, we introduce GPR is a useful equipment to detect the depth range of pavement structures changed by heavy traffic loads.
