[B-1-17] Synchronized Dynamic Channel Measurement and Motion Capture for Sub-THz Radio Channel Affected by Human Presence

Due to the short wavelength at sub-THz bands, the LoS channel can be shadowed easily by the pedestrian. There are types of human body models use the knife-edge diffraction (KED) method to simulate the propagation channel affected by human body shadowing (HBS). However, without a proper method to fit these models in the digital twin to the real world including the human body and the antennas, the shadowing channel can not be predicted accurately. This paper presents a synchronized time-variant channel measurement and motion capture at 300 GHz for HBS scenario. The captured circumference of the cross-section (CCS) of human body represented by the point clouds is used to generate screen models of human body. The comparison of the shadowing gain results between the measurement and KED simulation shows that the precisely localized 3-dimension (3D) model can accurately predict the timing of the shadowing event occurred.
