[B-1-67] Design of Couplers in Post-wall 1-D Parallel Switching Matrices with Eight Beams

General configurations of planar switching matrices with an arbitrary number of beams using one-plane couplers have been studied. In the case of eight beams, a special configuration, where two four-beam Nolen matrices fed in parallel through crossovers is more compact than standard matrices. This manuscript discusses the design of the couplers in this special configuration realized by post-wall waveguides to find the best phase difference assignment in terms of the operation bandwidth.
