Adiabatic quantum flux parametron (AQFP) circuit is one of the superconductor circuits and can operate at GHz speeds with extremely low switching energy. We use digital simulation to design large-scale circuits using AQFP logic gates. Conventional timing check in digital simulation is not compatible with an industrial-standard way and intrinsic delay description is not accurate. We need to extract timing parameters such as setup/hold time and propagation/reset delay to establish an industrial-standard timing check and more accurate timing model. In this study, we clarify the definitions and investigated the appropriate method to evaluate the timing parameters of AQFP. And we researched detailed timing characteristics including frequency characteristics.
