[14F-03] Interfaces for locomotion in virtual environments constructed with spherical images -A comparison between virtual pad and the tilt of the tablet-

We compared virtual pad and tilt interface as interface for locomotion in virtual environments constructed with spherical images. Virtual pad is an interface to manipulate with a finger and tilt interface is an interface to manipulate with hands and arms. In the demonstration, Visitors experienced a digital museum and about 70 people manipulated each interface. However some people could not operate the tilt interface, the others said that tilt interface gives realistic and immersion feeling. In this presentation, we will mention user’s impressions and Knowledge obtained from behavior observation.
