[33B-04] Surgery simulation using a full HD autostereoscopic display

We report on the evaluation of the surgery simulator installed on a full HD autostereoscopic display based on time-division multiplexing directional backlight, which is composed of a convex lens array and dot matrix light sources. The result of the questionnaire by the medical students shows that the 3D simulator based on the autostereoscopic display is evaluated higher than the conventional 2D simulator. It is also confirmed that brighter image and less crosstalk contribute to the higher evaluation of the 3D simulator.
