[T-25A] Vibrotactile Representation of User’s Visual Field Global Motion in 360 Videos Using Multiple Vibrators
360 videos offer an immersive visual experience with the potential to transport people to remote places. To further improve the quality of experience, here we propose a method to generate haptic effects from global motion estimates of the region the user is looking at in a 360 video. Furthermore, we investigate the consequences of successive impact vibrations produced by intense vertical motion on the perception of curves. We observed that in the presence of impacts, speed level has a significant effect on participants capacity to perceive the direction of a curve.
