[ELM1-1] How to Effectively Present at International Conferences: Skills to Help You Design and Present Your Presentation
Editor and Project Manager Ayli is from Australia, and is a Health Science (Hearing and Speech) graduate of The University of Sydney. Thus, her area of interest is in the neurological, functional, and linguistic mechanisms that relate to speech, language, and auditory processes. This background is foundational to providing evidence-based assistance and treatment for individuals with communication difficulties. Ayli has applied her skills in both educational and clinical environments with a diverse range of clients. She developed a strong interest in pursuing a career in editing while working at the Centre of Continuing Education, The University of Sydney, in 2009. She now has over 10 years combined experience in editing and education in both Australia and Japan. She has lived in Japan since 2010, first in Miyakojima (Okinawa prefecture), then Fukuoka, and now Tokyo. She joined Edanz’s editing team in 2013. Currently, as well as an editor of research manuscripts and related works, Ayli is a popular presenter of Edanz’s live seminars. “At Edanz, I help people through editing and seminars to meet their individual publication goals. At the same time, I’m fulfilling my own goal of helping people overcome their communication difficulties. It’s a win-win situation,” Ayli says.
