[P7-2] Finding your tribe: lessons learnt from Europe
Since qualifying as a GP in the UK three years ago, Sonia has split her time between London and Fukushima Medical University, Japan.
In the UK, she works as a GP but also as the Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners Junior International Committee (RCGP JIC) which is a voluntary committee of GPs early in their career passionate about international primary care. In Japan, she is a Faculty Member of the Department of Family Medicine at Fukushima Medical University. Her special interests include cultural variations including perceptions of health and illness and interpersonal interactions.
She has OPrked, studied or observed health care in countries including Denmark, Turkey, France, the U.S, Peru, Australia, Japan, India and Uganda and lectures and runs workshops in the UK and across Europe and Japan.
