[15A-T3-08] Monte Carlo Simulation for Prediction of Residual Pores Formed in Sintering Powder
キーワード:Monte Carlo method, Solid phase sintering, Data science, Residual pore
Inappropriate sintering conditions cause residual pores in sintered products, resulting in a reduction in their strength. Although the densification kinetics during sintering are understood, the mechanism by which pores remain in sintered products is unclear. In this study, we simulated sintering behaviors using the Monte Carlo method under a constant condition of a green body containing various initial pores and reproduced the disappearance or remaining of individual pores in sintering. Then, an attempt was made to predict the residual pores in the sintered products using machine learning models with inputs of the pore characteristic parameters (size, shape, and position) in the green body. Furthermore, the importance of the pore characteristic on the residual pores were analyzed. As a result, large-sized pores located near the center of the green body tended to remain in the sintered body.
