Keywords:PIM, POM, Feedstock, Powder, Temperature

Since BSAF Germany invented the use of POM as PIM feed in 1996, it has successfully manufactured over billions of parts. In addition to iron-based metal parts, powder injection molded parts containing alloys such as tungsten, copper, titanium, cobalt, nickel, aluminum, and ceramics have also been successfully manufactured. Even glass powder injection molding has emerged in the past two years. Caring about the size, shape, surface condition, and safety of powder particles is the primary condition for successfully producing POM feedstock. Secondly, it is important to understand the binder used and the method of mixing feedstock materials. Especially in controlling the temperature of the process. Finally, high-performance self-made POM feedstock can be obtained.
