[15P-T16-04] Magnetically Hydrodynamic Behavior of Magnetoliposomes Designed for Liquid-Based Biomolecular Sensing

The combination of magnetic nanoparticles and liposomes results in magnetoliposomes, which are nanocarriers for theranostics and biosensing. As a sensing platform, magnetoliposomes are mostly used for sample separation using external magnetic force. Here, we develop a magnetoliposome composite as a magnetic sensing label that magnetically detects the interaction between magnetic nanoparticles and biomolecules by the change in their hydrodynamic volume in liquid. We investigate the frequency spectra of dynamic magnetization and hydrodynamic size of magnetoliposome in fluid-based. Their magnetic signal is modulated by the magnetically hydrodynamic behavior of the magnetoliposomes such as the hydrodynamic volume and the surrounding fluidic condition.
