[15P-T2-01] GeoDict-enhanced Insights into the Impact of Powder Size on the Dynamics of Gas Diffusion Layers at Various Porosities in PEM Electrolyzer
キーワード:Proton exchange membrane electrolyzer, Gas diffusion layer, GeoDict
Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Electrolyzers are key to green hydrogen production, reducing reliance on nonrenewable energy and cutting carbon emissions. A critical component, Gas Diffusion Layers (GDLs), facilitates transport processes and provides structural support. This study enhances GDL efficiency through powder metallurgy, examining fine, large, and Gaussian-distributed powders using the GeoDict simulation tool. Findings reveal that fine particles offer better mechanical properties but reduced flow capacity, while large particles improve flow but weaken mechanical strength. The Gaussian distribution, with varied particle sizes, is identified as optimal for producing porous GDLs. This research advances efficient GDL development, promoting sustainable hydrogen production.
