In recent years, there has been remarkable progress in metal AM technologies. In particular, PBF and DED technologies have made remarkable progress. However, the equipment for them is expensive, and this has hindered the expansion of the technologies. Therefore, we developed a metal AM technology by FFF, which uses metal compound filaments. This process is almost the same as MIM, and instead of injection molding machine, metal compound molding is done with an FFF AM machine is used for metal compound molding. However, metal compound filaments used on this process is very brittle, and the selection of resin used as a binder is very important. We have developed filaments with sufficient strength and flexibility for practical use, and try to use these filaments to form lattice structures, and have confirmed that we have developed metal filaments for FFF that can be used for practical purposes.
