Healthcare industry has been undergoing continuous transformations. These perpetual advancements in the medical knowledge, informatic tools and increasing interest for data-driven patient empowerment, are among some of needs demanding digital technologies in the healthcare domain. Digital health is now an important element of the healthcare practices and is being regarded as the foundation of participatory healthcare. Digital technologies such as mobile and wearable technology applications may support informed clinical decision making among healthcare professionals, by connecting them with patients. These tools aid early detection of the disease symptoms and its management and remote monitoring of patient’s health focusing on patient-centric care. This panel is aimed to promote and encourage the application of digital health technologies, such as mobile health and wearable devices, for participatory and personalized healthcare.
