[2-F-1] Self-health management of nutrition, exercise, oral health, and sleep & rest - Let’s talk about surroundings required for measuring effects -
self-health management, nutrition, exercise, oral health, sleep & rest
In the era of digital health, efforts are expended on maintaining and improving health and preventing disease around the world using digital technology. To obtain evidence, we need to measure the long-term effects of interventions in daily health activities that can only be observed by the individual or care givers. There are, however, many issues to overcome. At the technical level, there is a lack of interoperability between applications/apps or data obtained by apps. Acquiring measurements from home health devices is hardly possible without software development due to lack of standards. In the field of health, great efforts are made by health specialists in the relevant fields, and technical efforts have been promoted by industries. Until now, however, contact points and information sharing between the two have been limited. In the first half of this session, we will discuss the trends, examples, and issues of efforts in exercise epidemiology, oral health, and clinical nutrition. In the second half, we will discuss the efforts of industries and companies to support health promotion, and will cover the topic of modeling in the field of health for standardization.
