sXGP system, next-generation PHS, In-hospital wireless communication, work style reform

Abstract: In recent years, labor-saving and improvement of the working environment through the use of ICT and "work style reform" have become very important themes as a countermeasure to the shortage of human resources, which has been one of the major issues in medical institutions and long-term care facilities such as hospitals and elderly care facilities (in-hospital and in-hospital) for many years.
On the other hand, it is well known that the public PHS service will be terminated in March 2023 for the "PHS method," one of the wireless communication methods that have been responsible for labor saving and smooth business collaboration in hospitals, etc. It is desirable for the so-called "self-operated PHS method" used in hospital communications to be promptly transferred to an alternative method. In this context, the "Next Generation PHS System" has been developed.
Under these circumstances, the XGP Forum has been working on the technical standardization of the "next-generation PHS system," and the Information and Communications Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications has been working on the development of related laws and regulations from 2017 to 2020 (further advancement is still under discussion as of 2022), and we (BB Backbone) are also actively promoting the spread of the "s (BB backbone) is also actively promoting the "sXGP method," and will be introduced with some examples.
