The medical information field has evolved from the days when only hospitals were computerized, to regional medical collaboration, health and welfare/caregiver collaboration, and online medical care. The need for health information technology, including security measures, data health, and DX in healthcare, is increasing every year.
In view of this situation, Japan Association for Medical Informatics has been working since 2002 to train Healthcare Information Technologist. As of June 2022, Healthcare Information Technologist committee has certified 24,649 Healthcare Information Technologist and 428 Senior Healthcare Information Technologist, who are active in the healthcare and medical field.
Healthcare Information Technologist committee receive both high praise and harsh words about the projects. We would like to summarize the past 10 years of projects from the viewpoints of GIO/SBOs, textbook editing, examination system, lifelong training, and public relations and liaison projects, and exchange opinions with participants in order to look ahead to the next 10 years.
