Of all the treatment modalities, drug therapy is the most familiar one to many patients of all the treatment modalities. Therefore, it goes without saying that the role of pharmacists is significant, but there might still be a great deal of room for activation regarding collaboration with each one from other specialties.
When it comes to understanding of life phases in a more qualitative manner, this is where nurses or caregivers excel. However, since information on life phases is difficult to structure, how to organically feed those data back to the pharmacist might be a challenge. Although progress is being made in structuring nursing information through the dissemination of the Master of Nursing Practice Terminology Standards, it may probably take some more time to thoroughly realize it.
On the other hand, quantitative visualization is the specialty of the medical information manager for sure. Even though the data flow has not yet been organized in this area, we would like to look forward to the future, including innovations in the education of medical information management specialists.
