*Kjaer Jesper1 (1. NovoNordisk (Vulcan Advisory Council))

Securing peace in the EU by creating jobs and supporting businesses across borders is one of the main purposes of the union. In a new data driven world and with advances in technology and healthcare the need to control, share and access health information is becoming increasingly important to support citizens, healthcare and businesses.
With the passing of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) act the European Parliament is supporting use of citizens health data to seek health care, support research and facilitate innovation across borders in Europe. The primary use of health data to support decision making during treatment is further enabled in EU with passing of the act, allowing citizens to move even more freely within the union when seeking jobs by also making access to healthcare systems easier by being able to share healthcare data. In addition, the EHDS and several other acts support the secondary use of this data for research and innovation. This session will look at the current landscape and vision for EHDS and related acts.
