The adoption of Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) Common Data Model(CDM) brings numerous benefits for academic institutions such as the ability to pursue crossinstitutional collaborations both local and global, and opportunities to be part of federated networks driven by academia, government and industry. In this presentation, we discuss such opportunities and their challenges.
