Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are a promising candidate for thermoelectric (TE) materials owing to their excellent electrical and mechanical properties. By doping the CNT, it is possible to control the carrier concentration, which can modulate the Seebeck coefficient and electrical conductivity which are strongly dependent upon each other. In this work, a series of halide dopants to obtain flexible n-type CNT-based TE CNT yarn are reported. By using tetrabutylammonium halide (TBAX, X= Cl, Br, or I) of which introduction is confirmed by Electron Probe Microanalyzer (EPMA), CNTs are successfully doped to n-type keeping Seebeck coefficient and enhancing electrical conductivity. The optimal n-type CNT yarn was found in TBAI/CNT composition, showing a power factor of 351.15 μW/mK2. This work sheds light on the interaction between organic halide compound and CNT to improve the TE performance
