This paper proposes a dual-charging path dual-inductor hybrid (DCP-DIH) converter that can charge two inductors simultaneously to improve load transient response. The proposed scheme only introduces a single additional switch and capacitor to form dual charging paths during load transient response. All power switches are integrated using 5V transistors with 0.25μm HV BCD process. Simulation results show that the proposed circuit achieves 8.7% recovery time and 12.9% voltage drop reduction compared to the conventional DIH converter at 20mA to 4A load transient step.
