[B-4-02] Circular photogalvanic effect in spin-splitting metallic state at the surface of SrTiO 3 substrates
The circular photogalvanic effect (CPGE) of a metallic surface state of SrTiO3 substrate is investigated. By irradiation of circular polarized light, spin accumulation is generated at the surface state. The spin accumulation is expected to be converted into a charge current, if the surface state has a finite spin splitting. A photocurrent measured between the edge of metallic states clearly shows a circular dependence of irradiated laser, indicating the spin to charge conversion originating from the Rashba-type spin splitting state of metallic surface state of SrTiO3 substrate.
