Highly-efficient triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) with a novel MDMO-PPV film were fabricated successfully to demonstrate superior output characteristics. Through the analyses of the output voltage of TENGs and the surface potential of conventional tribo-materials, the position of the MDMO-PPV film in triboelectric series was identified. A high and stable output performance of approximately 45 V for more than 500 cycles was achieved with the contact of MDMO-PPV with Nylon, indicating that the MDMO-PPV film can be a promising tribo-material in future TENGs.
