The casting solvent of semiconducting polymer (SCPs) plays a crucial role in forming film microstructure, which has been extensively studied in different film fabrication methodologies. Floating films of SCPs in the unidirectional floating film transfer method (UFTM) are generally prepared with low boiling point (Tb) solvent like chloroform, and the role of Tb of solvent and their solubility has never been considered. In this work, we have systematically studied the effect of different solvents and their blends on the orientation of the polymer, their film microstructure and charge transport.
