[PS-6-09] Thermal Design of Planar-type Nano Si Thermoelectric Generator

We designed and simulated the performance of a planar-type Si thermoelectric generator (TEG) with different geometry of the top cavity structure. We found that a cap structure with a pillar shape can improve the power factor of TEG significantly when the cap is appropriately contacted with the bridge layer without the air gap. We also evaluated how the air gap affects the power factor of TEG to gain further insight into fabrication conditions.
