[SO-PS-05-10] Design of 1D and 2D Photonic Crystals in Single Crystalline Halide Perovskites for Purcell Enhanced Emission and Sensing Applications

The performance of perovskite based optoelectronic devices can be greatly increased by the use of photonic structures. In this work we discuss the design approach for the 1D and 2D photonic structures at the surface of single crystalline methylamine lead bromide samples. These structures support strong temporal light confinement through the effect of photonic bound state in the continuum. We tune the confinement wavelength to match with the maximum emission of the crystal and we investigate the limitations that result from field leakage to the bulk material.
