Cerium oxide (CeO2) is a promising photocatalytic semiconductor material for water splitting and CO2 reduction. Carrier recombination is the most important process for photocatalytic semiconductors. Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed carrier recombination in CeO2 single crystals on (100) crystal face using the microwave photoconductivity decay (μ-PCD) method and the time-resolved photoluminescence (TR-PL) method.
