Magnetic domains of CoFe/MgO nanolayer patterns with different nanolayer thicknesses deposited on amorphous SiO2/Si (111) substrates were characterized by magnetic force microscopy at room temperature without any external magnetic field. The results show that the aspect ratios and layer thicknesses of nanolayer patterns in the current work are not sufficient for stably obtaining a single magnetic domain on amorphous SiO2/Si (111) substrates, although CoFe/MgO nanolayer patterns on single-crystal GaAs (001) substrates show stably a single magnetic domain, depending on the aspect ratios and layer thicknesses of nanolayer patterns.
