[SO-PS-08-11] Compact Band Model for 2D Semiconductor Material: In Case of Phosphorene

A new compact band model was proposed to study monolayer two-dimensional semiconducting materials such as phosphorene. This compact band model was applied to calculate density of states. Our proposed compact band model could fit pretty well with the first principle band structure calculation result for phosphorene and could be further utilized for other two-dimensional semiconductor materials.
