Be able to observe or monitoring an intrinsic signal in the mouse brain is an important step in understanding the brain function. Acquiring those signals require high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). We developed a self-reset image sensor with high effective SNR. The self-resetting system was designed using Schmitt trigger inverter to prevent the pixel from its saturation even at a high light intensity, which cause this imager succeeded in getting such high SNR. This time, the pixel was designed with P+/N-well/P-sub as a photodiodes structure for higher capacitance for reducing the number of self-resetting. Therefore, this image sensor has an extremely high SNR and also high stability.
