International Conference of Asian-Pacific Planning Societies 2022

About ICAPPS

The International Symposium on Urban Planning, the predecessor of the International Conference of Asian-Pacific Planning Societies (ICAPPS), has been held since 1994 to promote the academic progress and dissemination of urban and regional planning and to enhance the qualifications of urban planning professionals through close interdisciplinary research exchange on urban and regional planning in Asian-Pacific. The conference has been held on a rotating basis by urban planning organizations in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

In 2017, the conference name was changed to "International Conference of Asian-Pacific Planning Societies" to emphasize the characteristics of an international conference held in Asia, and a new objective was added to actively disseminate information on Asian-style urban planning through this international conference. And ICAPPS also strives to young researchers that YUPN Presentation Award is awarded for young presenters’ presentation to encourage them.
