The number of incidents in Cosmo Oil Co., Ltd Chiba refinery had been decreasing by some efficient measures since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, however it has remained almost unchanged in recent years. The system to use our company’s incidents was sufficient, but on the other hand, there was no efficient system for other company’s incident because this was informed only. Therefore, as the countermeasure for the cause why the number of incidents was not decrease, we improved this insufficient system.

出光興産（株）北海道製油所は厳しい外面腐食環境にある。このため最適な防食システム(主に下地処理と塗料の組合せ)の選定が必要であるが、実機での比較評価には多大な時間を要する。このため苫小牧工業高等専門学校との産学官共同研究により当所の環境を再現した腐食加速試験方法を確立し、各種防食システムの評価を実施中である。

We will introduce the case about the damage of floating roof (pontoon) and how to identify the damage mechanism by performing material analysis and FEM.
