近年AI技術は大きく進歩し、あらゆる分野に適用され、その有効性が確認さている。しかし、プラント分野ではいくつかの理由からAI技術の適用が比較的遅れている。これに対し、我々はプラントへの適用を前提にAIアルゴリズムを修正し、いくつもの課題を解いてきた。ここでは、AI技術を使った課題解決アプローチを紹介した上で、いくつかの事例について説明する。更に、強化学習型AIを使った自動制御に関する取り組みを紹介する。

FCC AI OptimizerTW (FCCAIOTW), which learns relation between operational data of Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC) and status of FCC converter by combining machine learning with engineering expertise, allows real-time predictions of status of FCC converter and after-burn occurrence in regenerator, which were challenging issues in conventional operation due to complexities of relevant phenomena such as the cracking reaction, the catalyst deactivation and the coke burning. In this presentation, technical aspect of FCCAIOTW and its expected effects, and future prospects for operation optimization, automation and autonomy of FCC unit will be presented.
