Keywords:magnetic orientation

We investigated the orientation loss of microcrystals during the solidification process of microcrystal suspensions in a magnetic field. The orientation loss of DyBa2Cu3Oy (Dy123, y = 6 ~ 7) microcrystals dispersed in an adhesive was studied by in-situ X-ray diffraction measurement. Since Dy123 is paramagnetic and has a fast magnetic field response, it is suitable for studying the orientation loss process. The magnetic field orientation of Dy123 microcrystals is important for improving its superconducting properties. We explained the orientation loss process using the model of curing.
