PBDB-T has been used as a donor material for highly efficient organic solar cells (OSCs), but its photo-stability has not been clarified. Our laboratory has reported the OSC with high photo-stability. By changing the donor material of our highly photo-stable OSC to PBDB-T, we investigated the photo-stability of PBDB-T without considering the influence of other materials in the OSC. The photo-stability of the OSCs with PBDB-T decreased with decreasing photocurrent. We found that the decrease in photocurrent was caused by the interaction between PBDB-T and PEDOT:PSS of the hole collection layer.
