[16p-Z02-8] Hydrogen and methane production using photovoltaic

Keywords:Photovoltaic, Hydrogen

Technology for storing solar energy is indispensable for human beings to continue their activities with the electric power from photovoltaic. In this study, hydrogen was produced by electrolyzing water using the electric power generated by photovoltaic. By optimizing each part, we obtained a daily average conversion efficiency of about 20% from solar energy to hydrogen energy. Furthermore, we succeeded in converting carbon dioxide into methane using solar-derived hydrogen, and achieved a methane concentration of 97% in the output gas.
