We have studied the silicon photonics integrated circuit-based LiDAR (PIC-based LiDAR) in order to realize the low-cost, small size, and performance for personally-owned vehicles. Polarization splitting grating couplers (PSGCs) were fabricated to reduce the polarization dependent loss of PIC-based LiDAR. In the presentation, we report the ranging experiment of the PIC-based LiDAR and transmitting and receiving efficiencies of the fabricated PSGC.
