The correlation between thermal transport properties and microscopic structural degrees of freedom of organic materials, such as chemical bonding, intermolecular interactions, and intramolecular motions, is still unexplored. In order to elucidate the correlation between thermal conductivity and structure, we measured the thermal conductivity of a single crystal of triphenylene hexacarboxylic acid methyl ester, which has a highly ordered π-stacked column structure. In this study, we will clarify "How does the π-stacked column contribute to thermal transport? “.
