[16p-Z32-16] Numerical analysis of thermal rectification effect in graphene nanoribbons
with asymmetric defects using nonequilibrium molecular dynamics

Tasuku Taira1, Yukihiro Tanaka1 (1.Hokkaido Univ.)

Keywords:Thermal conductivity, Phonon transport

The thermal rectification efficiency of graphene ribbon with triangular defects was calculated by nonequilibrium molecular dynamics. However, the triangular defect alone did not show any rectification effect, so the rectification efficiency was improved by adding an incision-type defect to restrict the phonon path and enhance the effect of the triangular defect.
In this talk, we will discuss the details of our systematic investigation of graphene ribbons with modified asymmetric defects, including the case where the temperature of the system is varied.
