その優れたキャリア輸送特性から、グラフェンをチャネル材料に用いたグラフェントランジスタは、次世代の高速大容量通信のキーコンポーネントとして期待され、研究開発が進められている。しかし、グラフェンは極めて高いキャリア移動度を持つものの、トランジスタとしては、移動度から期待されるほどには高い周波数特性がまだ実現できていない。本講演では、高周波デバイスを実現するためにグラフェンが克服すべき課題を整理し、その課題解決に向けた研究開発の動向を紹介したい。
