We studied the adoptability of a tandem-type modulated thermal plasma (MITP) that we have newly developed to nanoparticle synthesis, and compared it with the conventional single-type MITP. As a result, the tandem-type MITP was found to be stably sustained even by a more largely modulated current in the lower coil, maintaining the plasma by the upper coil, This large modulation results in small nanoparticles synthesized.
